  15.      ware  and  may not be circulated in any incomplete or  modified  form,

  18.      The  use or sale of the PC-FORMS system is governed by  the  copyright 
  19.      and  licensing  information  in  the  general program  help file   and 
  20.      below.  Please read these carefully!  Permission is granted to  share-
  21.      ware  users, vendors and BBS Sysops to copy the EVALUATION  copies  of 
  22.      PC-FORMS  system files, AS RECEIVED BY THEM, and to distribute  copies

  49.                                 USERS' LICENSES.
  50.      
  51.      Any  individual, firm, company or institution using the PC-FORMS  sys-
  52.      tem,  after a free 30-day evaluation period, agrees  to pay  a  $99.95 
  53.      license fee for use of the system on the first computer on which it is 
  54.      in  use, plus a one-time charge for use of any of the forms  libraries  
  55.      @ $1.50 per page.  For multiple, or networked, computer  installations 
  56.      the  license fee for use of the programs on the  additional  computers 
  57.      shall be as follows:

  66.      A licensee of the system receives several benefits:

  68.      *  A copy of the latest version of the PC-FORMS system and the select-
  69.      ed forms libraries, on disk, direct from the author.
  70.              (Specify  5 1/4" 360k or 3 1/2" 720k disks.)

  72.      *   Printed  copies  of the user's manuals and  text  libraries  in  a  
  73.      loose- leaf binder suitable for adding copies of other libraries.

  75.      *   You can get help with any questions or problems  you  have   using 
  76.      the  System  and its libraries by contacting  Bill  Blackledge,   3704

  80.      *  Future upgrades can be ordered on disk when desired.

  83.      any time as they become available.  We will assist registered users in 
  84.      developing their own text libraries.

  86.                         COMPUSERVE ON-LINE REGISTRATION
  87.  
  88.      The PC-FORMS System programs  are listed  in the  Compuserve Shareware 
  89.      Registration database under Registration ID 720.    Compuserve members 
  90.      may register these programs for one computer system through the  SWREG 
  91.      Forum (GO CIS:SWREG) by selecting option number 2 "Register Shareware" 
  92.      in the SWREG Forum  menu and  entering the  Registration ID 720  under 
  93.      option #1 on the search criteria  menu.  The  $99.95 registration  fee 
  94.      will be charged to your Compuserve account.

  96.                           ALTERNATIVE DOCUSTAR SYSTEM
  97.  
  98.      As an alternative, you may wish to order  the author's  DocuStar Docu- 
  99.      ment  Assembly  System which  is available  to professionals  or other 
  100.      users wanting  a more  sophisticated system  which also  uses PC-Forms 
  101.      libraries.  The DocuStar and DS-Library programs  use pull-down  menus 
  102.      to access  Video Setup,  System Setup,  Library and  the Program  Help 
  103.      menus.  Additional features are  available using  the DocuStar  system 
  104.      including the ability to establish a  default directory  for assembled 
  105.      documents.  Registered copies of these programs  are available  for an 
  106.      introductory period for a fee of $199.95 for use on the first computer 
  107.      with the same fees  for additional  computers as  shown above  for the 
  108.      PC-Forms system.

  110.             THE DOCUSTAR PROGRAMS ARE NOT DISTRIBUTED AS SHAREWARE.
  111.                  THEY MAY NOT BE REGISTERED THROUGH COMPUSERVE.

  113.      You  can  create and modify forms libraries for the system  using  any 
  114.      word  processor capable of producing an ASCII file with spaces  before 
  115.      carriage  returns on lines within paragraphs.  The author  uses  Word-
  116.      Star,  in  Non-Document  mode, to create and  maintain  libraries  but 
  117.      highly recommends the use of the shareware Video Display Editor,  VDE, 
  118.      by  Eric  Meyer of Boulder, Colorado for that purpose.   That  program 
  119.      uses the same syntax for ending lines within paragraphs as is used  in 
  120.      the PC-FORMS libraries.  It is an OUTSTANDING ASCII file editor plus a 
  121.      whole lot more!

  137.      The author of the PC-FORMS System is a retired lawyer who is  licensed 
  138.      to  practice in the states of Oklahoma and Texas.  He learned to  pro-
  139.      gram  microcomputers in BASIC, ASSEMBLER and C after  retirement  from 
  140.      active practice, which led to the development of PC-FORMS for improved 
  141.      efficiency in document preparation.
